InZoi System Requirements, Demo Review & Release Date Summary

I created this space to share my development notes and personal thoughts on games I'm passionate about.
Today, I’d like to talk about my experience with the InZoi demo.
As someone who has played life simulation games since The Sims 1, I was really curious to see how InZoi compares.

🧪 What You Can Do in the InZoi Demo

The current demo version only allows access to character creation and building mode.
If you'd like to use your creations later in the early access version, you can upload them to Canvas, a community sharing platform similar to The Sims 4 Gallery.

InZoi automatically adjusted the graphics settings based on my PC specs.
Although my computer doesn’t meet the highest recommended settings, the game ran smoothly overall.
One exception: when selecting male “Zoi” presets, especially for larger body types or certain hairstyles, I noticed slight frame drops.

Compared to last year's character creator demo, the current version has fewer studio backgrounds, so it was harder to take screenshots in various scenes.

🔍 How InZoi Character Creation Differs from The Sims 4

One major difference is the preset system.

• In The Sims 4, you can separately edit the eyes, nose, mouth with detailed presets.
• In InZoi, facial presets are more holistic – you adjust the whole face instead of individual parts.

This might make it harder to create uniquely detailed characters, though I hope they add more segmented options (eyes, nose, lips) in the future.
Also, the sliders in InZoi feel different from Sims 4, so there may be a learning curve at first.
But hey – we’re Sims players! 😎 Once you try it a few times, you’ll get the hang of it quickly.

🧢 Customization Potential in the Future

Right now, the default items feel quite limited when trying to create a specific look.
However, the devs announced that in May, they will release a tool using Unreal Blueprints for modding. That means we can expect to see InZoi CC (custom content) in the near future!

💬 Final Thoughts

As a longtime Sims player, I truly love the franchise.
But having competition like InZoi is exciting – it pushes the genre forward and brings fresh ideas.
And… please, EA, give us The Sims 5 soon! 😅

### 🧪 인조이 데모에서는 어떤 걸 할 수 있나요?

현재 데모 버전에서는 건축 모드와 캐릭터 커스터마이징(커마)만 체험할 수 있습니다.
만든 캐릭터나 건축물을 Canvas(캔버스)라는 공유 공간에 업로드하면,  
이후 얼리 액세스 버전에서도 그대로 사용할 수 있습니다.  
(Canvas는 심즈4의 갤러리처럼 유저들끼리 창작물을 공유하는 공간입니다.)

### 💻 시스템 요구 사양 & 제 컴퓨터 스펙

게임을 실행하면 제 컴퓨터 사양에 맞게 그래픽 설정이 자동 적용됩니다.
제 사양은 최고급은 아니지만, 데모 플레이 중 눈에 띄는 렉은 없었어요

다만, 남자 조이 프리셋 중에서 헤어스타일이 풍성하거나 덩치 큰 캐릭터를 선택했을 때는  
살짝 프레임 드랍이 느껴지긴 했어요

### 🔍 심즈4와 인조이 커스터마이징, 뭐가 다를까?

가장 큰 차이점은 바로 프리셋 구조라 생각합니다.

- 심즈4는 눈, 코, 입을 각각 따로 프리셋으로 고르고 세부 조정이 가능한데,  
- 인조이는 전체 얼굴 단위로만 프리셋이 적용됩니다.

그래서 개성 있는 얼굴을 만드는 데 조금 제약이 있지 않나 하는 생각이 들었어요.  
앞으로 눈/코/입 각각의 프리셋이 추가되면 좋겠습니다.

그리고 슬라이더 조작 방식도 심즈와 조금 달라서, 처음엔 살짝 헤맬 수 있습니다.
하지만… 우리 심즈러 아니겠습니까? 😎  
조금만 만져보면 금방 익숙해질 거예요!

### 🧢 커스터마이징의 확장 가능성

지금은 기본 제공되는 아이템들이 많지 않아서,  
제가 원하는 느낌의 캐릭터를 만들기엔 약간 부족하게 느껴졌어요.

하지만!  
올해 5월쯤, 개발사에서 언리얼 엔진 기반 모딩 툴을 배포할 예정이라고 합니다.
그 말인즉슨, 앞으로 인조이용 CC(커스텀 콘텐츠)가 활발하게 나올 수 있다는 뜻이죠!

### 💬 마무리 소감

저는 심즈를 애정하는 유저지만,
이렇게 경쟁작이 나온다는 건 전체 장르에 긍정적인 영향을 줄 거라고 생각합니다!

그리고… 심즈5, 언젠간 꼭 나와줬으면 좋겠어요! EA 일해라! 😅
